These are nominal formats, not ordering measurements. Measure the poster you own, including any printed border. A cinema one-sheet is different from a 24 × 36-inch retail poster.

- Some later daybills are 13 × 26 inches (33.02 × 66.04 cm). Trimmed, linen-backed and unusual posters may differ.
- A-size reproductions also need measuring. For A0 formats, see our A0 frame guide.
Measure the whole sheet
Enter the full physical width and height as Image Size, including a printed border. Do not enter the outside frame dimensions, add matboard width, subtract the frame overlap or round to a nearby standard size.
- The frame or matboard overlaps the edges slightly to hold the poster in place.
- If every edge or a linen border needs to remain visible, ask our showroom for advice. Leave valuable originals untrimmed.

Materials and display options
Choose from workshop materials that match the item, room and level of protection needed.
Clear Perspex
- Our recommended starting point: lightweight, shatter-resistant acrylic glazing.
- UV-resistant and anti-reflective options are also worth considering for your room's light conditions. Choose from the options available for your size.
Non-Adhesive Foamcore
- Lightweight, acid-free backing without a peel-and-stick adhesive surface.
- A practical choice when you are fitting a poster you already own and want to keep adhesive mounting optional.
Your frame and matboard
- Choose the style and colour you want from the frames suitable for your measurements.
- Matboards are optional. Add a border if you like, or choose Mats → None for a simple frame around the poster.
- Adding a matboard changes the overall dimensions and price.
Process
How to order your poster frame online
Order a frame for the poster you own and fit it at home. Printing / Upload Image is optional and unnecessary for this purchase.
Measure your poster
Measure the full sheet's width and height, including any printed border.
Enter Image Size
Open Custom Picture Frames and select in or cm. For a measured 27 × 40-inch sheet, select in and enter width 27 and height 40. Check Portrait or Landscape.
Choose your frame
Pick a frame you like from the choices suitable for that size. Keep Hide Unsuitable Frames selected.
Choose a mat, or none
In Mats, select None to match these examples, or choose a matboard to add a border. Do not add its width to Image Size yourself.
Choose glazing and backing
In Glass & Backing, we recommend Clear Perspex and Non-Adhesive Foamcore. Review the hanging options available for your frame.
Review and order
Check the preview, product summary, measurements, hanging orientation and current price. Add to cart when ready and check delivery or pickup choices. You fit your own poster; showroom fitting is a separate service.

Visit our Roselands showroomYou can also bring your poster into our Roselands showroom for professional framing. For older or valuable posters, we recommend reversible, non-adhesive mounting and acid-free materials as a conservation framing approach. For inexpensive or readily reproducible posters, adhering the sheet to an acid-free backing can give a flatter presentation; this is a different approach from reversible mounting.
- We can help choose glazing with UV resistance or anti-reflective properties to suit the light conditions where your frame will hang.

Common questions
Which size do I enter?
Enter the full physical sheet measurements as Image Size, including any printed border. Do not use outside frame dimensions or adjust for matboard width or edge overlap.
Is 27 × 40 the same as 24 × 36?
No. A 27 × 40-inch one-sheet measures 68.58 × 101.60 cm. A 24 × 36-inch poster measures 60.96 × 91.44 cm. Measure your sheet rather than choosing a size from the movie title.
Can I order an unusual poster size?
Yes. Enter the actual measurements in the custom-frame designer, then choose from the suitable frames and materials. Size limits depend on your selections. Ask the showroom about posters outside the available options or linen borders you want to keep fully visible.
Do I need to upload an image?
No. Skip Printing / Upload Image when ordering a frame for a poster you already own. You receive the frame with your selected options and fit your own poster. The pictured movie posters are not supplied or reproduced as part of the order.
Which glazing and backing should I choose?
Clear Perspex and Non-Adhesive Foamcore are our recommended starting point for fitting your own poster. The frame style, colour and optional matboard are up to you. For a valuable original or particular lighting conditions, ask about reversible mounting and alternative glazing.

Yes. Bring it to our Roselands showroom and we can help with materials, mounting and fitting. Professional fitting is separate from the online frame prices shown here.
